Skifteretten regner med en fast, lav værdi for almindeligt indbo. Rummer hjemmet kunst, designmøbler eller en samling, skal værdien dokumenteres. Det gør jeg med en uvildig, skriftlig vurdering.
Danish probate courts assume a fixed, low value for ordinary household contents. When a home holds art, design furniture or a collection, the value has to be documented. I provide that as an independent written valuation.

Michael Bank Christoffersen
Jeg har arbejdet med kunst og kunstmarkedet i over 20 år, både i museer og i handlen. Som overinspektør på HEART Herning Museum of Contemporary Art havde jeg ansvaret for samlingen, og i New York var jeg partner i to gallerier.
Efter HEART var jeg kunstnerisk leder af Brigade i København og Havana, hvor vi byggede et galleriprogram og Cubas første internationale kunstnerresidency siden 1959. I dag rådgiver jeg samlere om køb og salg og har gennemført handler med Christie's, Sotheby's og Phillips. Gennem Future Archaeologies rådgiver jeg også kulturinstitutioner.
Jeg har undervist i designhistorie på VIA University College og bor i Hillerød. Jeg arbejder på dansk og engelsk.
I have worked with art and the art market for more than 20 years, in museums and in the trade. As chief curator at HEART Herning Museum of Contemporary Art I was responsible for the collection, and in New York I was a partner in two galleries.
After HEART I was artistic director of Brigade in Copenhagen and Havana, where we built a gallery programme and Cuba's first international artist residency since 1959. Today I advise collectors on buying and selling and have completed transactions with Christie's, Sotheby's and Phillips. Through Future Archaeologies I also advise cultural institutions.
I have taught design history at VIA University College and live in Hillerød, north of Copenhagen. I work in Danish and English.

Viser en vurdering, at et værk hører hjemme på et internationalt marked, kan jeg føre det hele vejen: dokumentation hos kunstnerens arkiv, eventuel restaurering og salg via det rette auktionshus eller privat. Jeg finder også værker til samlere. Det aftales altid skriftligt og adskilt fra vurderingen.
If a valuation shows that a work belongs on an international market, I can take it all the way: documentation with the artist's archive, restoration where it adds value, and sale through the right auction house or privately. I also source works for collectors. This is always agreed in writing and kept separate from the valuation.
